On April 24, the re-election conferences of the Research Association for Rule of Law Education, the Research Association for Foreign-Related Rule of Law, and the Research Association for Administrative Law of the Yunnan Law Society were held at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. The conference reviewed and approved the newly revised constitutions of the three associations and elected the new councils and leadership bodies of each association. Ye Guangyuan, Secretary of the University Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervisory Commissioner, and Tao Hairong, Deputy Director of the Membership Department of the Yunnan Law Society, attended the meeting.

Ye Guangyuan expressed gratitude to the Yunnan Law Society and all relevant institutions for their long-standing support for the university’s law discipline and the development of the research associations, and he also expressed expectations for the future work of the newly elected councils.

The newly elected presidents—Professor Shi Xianming of the Research Association for Rule of Law Education, Professor Yang Linhong of the Research Association for Administrative Law, and Professor Wang Hongjun of the Research Association for Foreign-Related Rule of Law—each delivered remarks, stating that they would faithfully perform their duties, unite and lead the members in deepening professional research and serving the practice of the rule of law, and make new contributions to the high-quality development of legal studies in Yunnan.

After the conference, the three associations held thematic sub-forums to exchange views and conduct discussions on topics including the cultivation of rule-of-law talent, the development of a foreign-related legal services system, and the standardization of administrative law enforcement.

It is reported that all three research associations are affiliated with the School of Law and Political Science of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics.

Experts, scholars, and member representatives from law schools and departments of 16 universities across the province, as well as from judicial practice departments at various levels, attended the meeting. Shu Qiu, Party Secretary of the School of Law and Political Science of the university, also attended.
